The May issue of Holland Herald features an interview with a Ferry Corsten, "one of the world's most popular DJs". It would seem he is also trying to raise sycophancy to new levels.
"How do you stay cool when things get hot?
I flash my KLM Platinum Flying Blue Card and doors open for me around the world."
OK, I decided to give it a try, starting with my own front door. I'm sorry to say that, even though the door in question wasn't even locked, no amount of flashing my PE card could open it. Even worse, all that flashing did not even cool me down. If anything, it raised my temperature.
Perseverance being a virtue, I shall not give up and keep on flashing my card around the world, hoping to stay cool even in the hottest climates!

I've often thought it would be good if the Hollard Herald featured stories about the experiences of 'normal' KLM travellers. It's hard to take interviews with the Dutch 'elite' too seriously. Just another pretenious marketing tool.
Good luck falshing that card, Johan.

Hey, could we do a card flash-mob at a to be defined checkin desk? A big crowd arriving out of the blue and flashing their platinum cards....lets see what happens!

Aha, finally a solution! So this is what I need to do now when the temperature is steadily rising here in Shanghai. Today it's/was around +32 (like it has been in the previous days as well), and we all know that it just gone get hotter...
Great input there Johan. I'll try this for sure!! ^

I'll flash my PE Card in JNB 6 hours before check-in and have a look if another airline will check me in ;-)
