New Status?

Best wishes to all for the New Year.

Has anyone already been 'reset' to a new status? Any Amex-FD-credit card holders been upgraded already? Any experience with a Amex-FD-status and getting your bonus miles?

For me, I still have to fly x flights before 31-Dec-2003 to become Platinum...?? And Mrs Eendracht is still Silver rather than Gold (Amex-FD-creditcard).

And my miles for a MH flight on 20 December that will make me Platinum still need to be credited. I am looking forward to a long and intensive correspondence with the FD "help"desk.

PE or not PE..that was my question.

I was 5k short of PE but had NCL-AMS-IAH and return booked. This should have taken me to about 80K on status and 125k award. On return, checked on line to find the outward leg of the trip actually posted,(5.5k) BUT absolutely no difference in award or status mile totals, which still showed both levels at pre IAH trip. Phoned elite desk but couldn't get any reply so called usual FD HD who told me I was in fact now PE. Being used to the ways of FD I phoned the automated account no. to find that on that database I had barely made GE still needed 24k status to reach PE and had only accumulated 73k award miles???

So in the space of 5 min found that I was only just GE, still 5k short of PE, and had made PE.... (hence the first line of my post).

Plus ca change

Exraf (PE maybe)

I am waiting for some missing miles, too...

Somehow I doubt the FD Helpdesk has reached its cruising speed for 2004 yet

Well, it appears that the KLM website still thinks it's 2003 (probably a bit hungover from all the New Year's jenever), so I think we probably all need to be patient for now...

This is the message I get when I log on.
Welcome Mr. S Fenton

You have accumulated: 312974 Award miles
To stay Platinum Elite earn 0 service Miles or fly 0 one-ways before 31-Dec-2003.

So I am offering three fantastic prizes for when ever KLM gets it right on the following:-

1 x first prize = The date the system catches up
1 x 2nd prize = the year it actually happens.
10 x 3rd prizes = for actually predicting what really will happen.

All answers on a postage stamp to the address shown on the back of your internet booking bonus slips.

Hi Steve and all the very best for 2004. Due to all the numerous problems that you've sadly experienced with KLM, it will be a shame to see your miles go to waste. If possible, would you be able to obtain two WBC tickets for my wife and self, to get out to Hong Kong around May time ? Thanks a lot, and I'll certainly reimburse you for the taxes etc. Regards, Mike.

Mike

I cannot be seen to biased toward you, but if you want to send me a jiffy bag with cash in lets get on with it. No wasted miles here, been busy burning them before Xmas as well. I booked one ticket to Taiwan which normally costs 100000 in Y and it came through with a discount on it only costing 87500 which I am not complaining about. I thought they were doing some really cheap deals on BA to Hong Kong for about 300 each ? direct from London which is a big time saver on the journey.

No change in my on-line details (still refers to 2003) but as of today my wife now appears as PE through the AMEX partner card promo (she was SE).

Does anyone's account already reflect the status (extension) for 2004? Has anybody received any mileage yet for flights taken early January?

Yes, miles for a STO-AMS flight on the 6th have posted, but not the Internet check-in bonus. On the other hand, I have received the Internet bonus for my AMS-STO flight on Christmas Eve, but not the level or award miles!
