help
I really need some help... I flew wbc from iah to bcn via ams and back. I was treated fine on all legs except for my arrival in houston. my name was called over the loud speaker. I was informed that my bags were left behind in AMS. I informed the klm/nwa staff that I was to leave for Los Angeles for a medical conference in two days. My suits were in my luggage. They promised that they would be delivered to my home the next day... The next day comes around and the bags are not here. I call them and they guarentee them tomorrow. I inform them that I will be in california, They promise to have them delvered there. To make a long story short. I recieved my luggage 4 days later. I was forced to buy 3 new suits.
The worse thing is that when my bags did finally arrive, over half of my possesions were stolen in AMS. How do I know they were stolen there... Well it would be from the things that were in my bags that did not belong to me. There were french and german things in my bags.
To make matters worse I have tried contacting both Klm and Nwa. I recieve e-mail stating that they will contact me soon. this has been ongoing since November 12. I need this forum to help me get into contact with anyone from klm that can help me. Is this how klm treats their wbc customers? Does anyone in this forum believe I am entitled to compensation from the poor treatment that KLM and NWA has given me. Thanks for all the help in advance. Sean

A similar thing happend with me when i flew NCL to DEL via Paris on Air France last summer. I got my luggage 3 days later and most of it was missing, including a very expensive bottle of champagne.
I tried and tried to get some compensation or even a acknowledegment that it had happend and nothing. They didnt even apologise.
I have been lucky with KLM in that this has never happend with them but me and a friend flew to Prague last March and upon arrival his suitcase was damaged. We went to the counter and the lady looked at the damage and asked how much the bag was worth and within 5 mins he was walking away with a voucher for 100 (which he ended up losing on the holiday)
