KLM not to join Oneworld.
Hello,
I spoke a (significant) source with Oneworld that says no actions are taking place to integrate KLM in Oneworld. They expect them really to join Skyteam. However Swiss is far more likely to join Oneworld. The airline is pretty far and the announcement seems to be a matter of months.

Good to hear that, however based on the integration of US Air into *, we should expect a timeframe of at least 6-9 months for KLM to be fully integrated into Sky Team, maybe the summer timetable of 2004 could be realistic.
Swiss situation is pretty difficult, CEO Dose wants LH, however the Swiss Gov. seem to prefer the OW way, cuase they fear that Zurich would be downgraded too much, because of MUC and FRA.
I hope that Deutsche Bank and LH will win the race, though

You might be right, but maybe some cooperation is already discussed and things can be done quicker. Don't forget that this is a different story than AZ or CZ being added to Skyteam. The summer schedule is realistic, because the winterschedule is more or less fixed. It wouldn't surprise me if some codeshares are announced or added sooner (like destinations not served by KLM).
