Miles Conversion

Received FD Wine Cellar newsletter this morning where they have changed from offering 4 FD Points for every Ł1 spent to 10 Miles.

Looks like the conversion rate is going to be 1 FD Points = 2.5 Miles.

I've got a KLM Wine Cellar flyer in front of me, which offers new members a 1000 Award Miles bonus. There is no mention of a website. The order form, which can be faxed or sent by snail mail to an address in the Netherlands, states "delivery only within the Netherlands", and the only payment option is direct debit via a Dutch bank account. KLM's website, however, says the Wine Cellar is available in Belgium and the UK as well, and gives the following phone numbers : 0294-462832 (the Netherlands), 01805-93462582 (Germany) and 0800-8563007 (UK)

Contradictory information, but what else is new?

I found this info on the German site, too. It seams to be new (as far as I remember, some time ago the wine cellar was not available in Germany). Let's hope that this info is correct and the info on the flyer is incorrect.

I've had the leaflets from KLM wine several times here in the UK. Might just get round to checking their prices now. Mind you the website says 6 FD miles for every pound spent not 10. Not sure what i did with my leaflets now ggrrr

Nigel, That was a special offer during September. You still can call them and negotiate. My colleagues do that.

Currently Airmiles are doing a good deal with Laithwaites. 500 Airmiles for a case of wine purchased.
