I am Silverwing at the moment and will be travelling with a non-status companion in a few weeks. What is the SW guest policy?

Thanks for your help.

Only RW can bring in guests. You can always try your luck, as some remote stations are not always fully aware of the policy but in principle you cannot bring in a guest as SW.

LH747FTL, don`t force your luck at AMS.

All the wardens there are very well aware of KLM`s strict policies and they will turn you away without making any exception.

They will advise you, that you can pay for lounge vouchers with FD points.

Sometimes, if you argue a little bit, you might be able to buy one voucher instead of five for 1000 FD points, but I would not count on that possibility.

However, you can check www.ebay.de
Lots of offers for KLM lounge vouchers, starting at 1 Euro.If they are only valid a few more weeks, you can actually make a good deal.Average costs is around 7-10 Euros.

Probadly not a good deal, but if you like to drink two or three beers and some more drinks, it is probadly worth it.

That's what I expected... will look into the voucher possibilities.

Threy, I know how the KLM wardens are... but they still wouldn't qualify for LH lounge front desk positions. One at FRA refused to change my FF number last time from LH to RG.

A REALLY funny and wonderful thread about the LH prison matron lounge guardians can be found here:

I think you can pay on the spot with your points to take someone in - not sure how many you would need.

In the lounge you can cash in 5000 points for 5 entry vouchers which anyone can use.

Threy also mentioned above that you might be able to use just 1000 to get 1 voucher.

You can also use 7500 points for 5 vouchers for the RW lounge. Only a SW can actually use these but I guess SW+guest would be o.k. (?)

Even though 2500 pts is not much, I can't really see the point of the extra expense given the absence of any significant difference between the lounges (except if you transfer at AMS after an overnight flight, in which case the showers might come in handy).
