KL Schedule Changes
For reasons KL does not divulge, the following flights will be canceled between July 31 and August 27:
KL1579/KL1570 AMS-ATH-AMS Days 1,2,3,4---
KL1679/KL1670 AMS-BCN-AMS Days ----5,6,7
KL1681/KL1682 AMS-BCN-AMS Days 1,2,3,4--7
In addition, KL1013/KL1014 AMS-LHR-AMS will be rerouted EIN-LHR-EIN in the period July 30 - September 8.
Finally, there are major changes to the departure and arrival times of KL1692, KL1265 and KL1266.
What's up? A sudden equipment shortage? Technical problems?

And as per Monday July 3rd, KL592 JNB-AMS departs 23:35 instead of 23:50.
According to my source, in order to lengthen the connections to certain destinations at AMS somewhat, apparently the AMS-DTW NW0047 has many misconnecting pax coming off the KL592.
KL591 stays at current departure time.

KL have been juggling the departure times for KL592 repeatedly over the last few months. For the coming winter schedule, the time was first moved to 00.05 (to save on crew costs, apparently), then moved back again to 23.55. As a result the date of departure changed back and forth as well, which was rather confusing when making reservations.

I was booked on KL1013 and those fools didn't even call me up to let me know about the fact that it was cancelled. I discovered it on NWA.com a day after I booked.

I am booked on KL 1013 on 30 July. Have not heared anything.
I checked the KLM website and it is still an option to book this flight.
