Question So how do Webawards work?

In all my time with FD and FB, I've never actually booked a Webaward, but right now I'm tempted to spend some on a quick trip to HKG as there's a 50% off Webaward. I click on the "Boek nu" button, and it takes me to the normal award booking screen. Flights are available in business for my preferred dates, but at no point do I see the 50% off. Does this mean that the Webaward availability has been exhausted? Or will the 50% discount appear once I complete the booking?

Furthermore, the only flights that are available are via CDG, so that means I'm likely to run into the infamous award booking bug, which will mean a battle with the hinderdesk to get it fixed.

if the booking are through CDG then there is no more award availability on KLM for HKG. Keep in mind that those promo are air line limited therefore only the direct flight between AMS and HKG is part of the deal not the other rooting via CDG

Thanks for the replies. ^ In the end, circumstances changed I wouldn't have made it anyway, but now I know for next time at least.

Well, yes, but that would defeat the purpose of Webawards, would it not?

They won't book webawards for you over the phone, but will advise you on webaward availability. In the award booking screen the webawards show up in a different color (green when I last booked) and only when available. Only valid on the direct routes. Any indirect routing will cost you the normal amount of miles.
