KLM select seating

Hey guys,
A question, are the select seats in the klm 744 larger or do they have more legroom than the normal economy seats (in the same plane)?

I flew the 744 a few days ago and had a seat in the select seating area (17E), but I changed my seat when I met a friend at the gate so we could sit together....we got 2 seats on row 36 (normal economy seats).
It was possible to move her to 9B (one of the select seats) but we wished to sit together so we got 36A and B. Was this the right choice as we sat for nine hours (ams-cur)?

Can anyone tell me the difference between these seats as I'm flying back to amsterdam within two weeks..

Beside the fact that row 9 is the exit row and row 11 is behind some kind of storage box, there is hardly any difference between the rows in the Select Seating areas and the rest of the plane, however there is some extra space between the E seats and the galley wall, so you can stow a bagpack there easily, otherwise make sure to have the seat next to you blocked.

IMO the best option on the 744 !
