KL flight codes to OSL

Dear all,
I have flown the AMS - OSL route for over 15 years. The KLM codes for the flights started from KL 1140 to KL 1151. I see from the summer 2024 timetable, they are all changed. Any reason for this?
Sincerely,
SB

Seems like a lot of short haul codes are changing for the summer timetable. I don't know the reason, but like you I am slightly irrationally disturbed by my "normal" flight numbers suddenly being different.

Looks like KLM is reshuffling its flight numbers all around.

The new OSL numbers are coming from SVG, I think. Which is pulling the numbers from LPI which will get the old OSL numbers, or something like that. The cancelled TRF numbers ended up as ARN flights.

meanwhile elsewhere BUD is getting numbers which are currently WAW flights and WAW will get numbers which used to be BOD...

I have some of them that felt off. BUD I remember was 1970s. PRG keeps old numbers.

Hello,

KLM is trying to harmonise flight codes into clearer groups.

Ireland is joining Scandinavia in the 11 / 12 zone group, making OSL and others move up on the number list.

Summer schedule starts 31st of March. On that day Hungary is leaving group 19 and is joining zone group 13. That allows to make space for extra numbers in different groups.

Note that trains are zone group 2 (+2 digits) and buses zone group 3 (+2 digits).

These are the new zone 11/12 flight numbers :

ZONE 11 /12 : IRELAND NORWAY SWEDEN FINLAND DENMARK
