Question Ticketing question

Hi all.. I've got a question regarding KL ticketing policy. Would be nice if someone has some insight for me. I'm looking for an end July till end August ticket AMS-BOG // CTG-AMS. I'm monitoring the prices regularly, and I feel even for summer holiday prices are steep. On some days, premium comfort is cheaper than economy standard. So this is the booking class we're considering booking. Since I'm looking for 2 adults and 3 kids, I have to book 5 tickets. I see the availability sometimes changes from day to day. It states 'only 4 seats left', or if I'm lucky sometimes 'only 5 seats left'. One particular routing on the return flight is via PTY in C, where the price is just 150 euro pp more expensive, However, I only see this rate with maximum 4 tickets left, where a few weeks ago it was 5 seats left. Based on the seatmap it doesn't look like any seat have been sold for that particular flight (although not everyone selects seats, I know).

So, does anyone know if inventory changes? If I would call, could they add one seat extra to that particular booking class?

Thanks for your thoughts/advice!

Inventory changes based on the whims of revenue management and it's doubtful that calling in will result in inventory being added.

The seat map is a very poor indication of bookings. And as hhdl said, they won’t add a seat in the fare bucket if you call. They never do that.
