Irish pub at Schiphol

I am pretty sure I am not the only Schiphol regular who misses a pint and an all day breakfast that used to be available at the Irish pub at the airport. As we all know, it’s been closed since the Covid virus semi paralysed us all.

However, when I stopped for a pint at the Heineken pub at the airport on Saturday, I happened to notice that the bar man used to be one of the gents who kept me in beers at the aforementioned Irish pub. He told me that the plan is to reopen the Irish bar early October so this is progress.

I really miss my (un) healthy all day breakfasts at this fine establishment.

Thanks for the update. Where was this Irish pub? I don't really recall ever having visited it.

Which is where one of the KLM Royal Wing lounges used to be before that.

I know a few places in the world where a pint of Guinness is a perfectly acceptable breakfast.

Great news! I never tried it before, will do so on Friday before my BA flight which is usually at the arse-end of that pier.

About as overpriced as expected...

I've ordered the BLT burger, let's see if it beats the absolute garbage they serve at BFS in value for money.

Edit: It was substantially better (and bigger) than feared. Belfast remains the king of overpriced airport pubs. I could see myself coming back here, at least on the trips where my employer pays the bill!

Seems much like it used to be, apart from the list of whiskys; only Jameson is spelt correctly. I don't know about Bulleit.

Actually the prices sound downright reasonable to me especially for an airport pub. Prices in NL have gone up rapidly over the last two years, not that I can blame the restaurant owners.

Bulleit is correct. And so is Dewar's and The Famous Grouse. Other than Aberfeldy and Craigellachie supposed to be under heading "Whisky - Single Malt" rather than "Whiskey - Single Malt", I'm not sure what you are complaining about. (well Dewar's and The Grouse too, I guess)
