International WiFi on KLM flight

Hi all,

I am very frustrated that WiFi is not working at all. I was on my flight. I went on my iPhone. It's say no Internet Connection. I'm keep trying! I used WiFi on my flight from AMS-ATL on this last Monday. But, I used free WiFi during my flight. I texts to my sister-in-law and it's not working at all. They needs to fixed WiFi connection on all B787-9 Dreamliner. They have make sure WiFi is working okay. I don't want loses WiFi connection again. Any suggestions??

You are right! It’s very bad. I won’t fly on KLM ever again. Delta is way much better than any other airlines.

If that also means you won't be posting your complaints about KL here again, then that sure is a welcome prospect.

You probably reclined your seat too far. My suggestion is to sit up straight next time, then the wifi will work for sure. Especially the international kind!

Hi all,

I am very frustrated that WiFi was working fine. I was on my flight. Wanted to sleep. I went on my iPhone. It's say Internet Connection. I'm keep trying to sleep! I used WiFi on my flight from AMS-CUN on this last Thursday. But, I used free WiFi during my flight. I kept on receiving texts. They needs to break WiFi connection on all B787-9 Dreamliner. They have make sure WiFi is not working okay so people can sleep. I don't want loses sleep again. Any suggestions??

I read about 60 minutes free WiFi/internet on intercontinental flights.
Someone can tell me, when I open for the first time, I have 60 minutes? Or can I switch off to spread my 60 minuten over my 10 hours during flight?

I'm not sure if I should buy a bundle. a flight without range is of course a real holiday

but a little messaging with family and friends is also relaxation, a little insta, Facebook .. I think 18 euros is quite a fair amount

You cannot interrupt the timer.
But if you have an iOS device you can toggle the private Wi-Fi address setting once and get another hour 😊

Do you guys get more information on the free wifi option? Available on all KLM tatl flights, whether it's B777 or B789?

I was this week in 777-200 with WiFi and it’s true; switch your mobile Wi-Fi on private and you can do a second hour free.
but it’s only text message apps. Not foto or other apps.

all 777 and 787's have wifi - the 777s also have a paid streaming offer.

the free pass works for everything, such as email. There's no blocking in place to prevent you from using it for things which are not messaging. Even sending photos works.

however, a single picture can take 10~ minutes to upload, as the speed is so limited I wouldn't recommend it for anything else than messaging.
