Kl803/kl804 : Ams-mnl mnl-ams

KL803 / KL804 has a stopover in BKK of 1hour and 10 minutes. I would like to know if passengers disembark or stay on board ? any recent experience ?
If disembarking it seems covid health Insurance is also compulsory (same as in Philippines except amount is 50 K Usd instead of 35K Usd) but it seems no test if fully vaccinated it would apply on KL804 as RT PCR test in required to enter MNL

In summary is a stop treated as a transit in Bangkok ? I check Iata travel center but cannot find difference between transit, Stop. It seems as soon as you walk in the airport it is transit.

As crew changes, generally must exit the aircraft. Same crew can't fly AMS-BKK and then also BKK-MNL, so crew is going AMS-BKK, then next day BKK-MNL-BKK and then BKK-AMS next day. (Unless they're tying up seats to deadhead crew)

As for how Thailand is handling passenger i don't know. However the passengers on MNL-BKK are all continuing onto AMS. There's no MNL-BKK only passengers.

crew change can be done without pax leaving the aircraft. The 1st crew is waiting until the new fresh one arrives in the plane and then they go. I have seen this in many occasions with AF or KL (e.g. DAR, CTG, etc).

Generally if crew changes, passengers must get off for security/legal reasons. I've seen it happen in past, but it's been few years. It may help that all passengers are continuing onward. There's no passengers just MNL/BKK.

Ie passengers had to get off at SIN even if flying onward to DPS or v v to AMS.

I second this. Business class passengers do not have to disembark at UIO when continuing to GYE for instance.

Not always. It all depends on the local regulations, and it does not depends if some pax are disembarking/embarking or not at the stop. Of course, pax are never left alone ( = without crew) in the plane.
I can tell you in Covid times, airport are usually very happy to let all those heavily infected-pax on board to avoid contamination of the virus-free citizens

I’ve flown JRO-DAR-AMS with a crew change in DAR and wasn’t allowed to exit the aircraft.

I can confirm on KL803 passengers to MNL stays on board. On the BKK-MNL (2H45 flight time) segment, only a warm sandwich is served.

If that's in J then it's beyond embarrassing, but hardly surprising.

Interesting, we flew this route in December last year and we were required to disembark at UIO. Then boarded again once boarding started for the UIO-GYE leg.
