Klm 747 upper deck

i have noticed on the seat map that 79J is not shown. if i remember correctly row 79 should have 4 seats. are they blocking that seat for the crew or they got rid of 79J. please advise. thanks.

Possibly the OP is referring to the actual seat map of the flight.

In some cases of code share services (e.g. KL operated flight AMS to ICN, which also carries a KE code), KL technically splits the cabin and some seats are only available for KE pax, some other seats only for KL pax. Row 79 is one of the rows which often is dedicated to KE pax. However, at check-in, all seats are available for all pax (if they are not taken yet ...)

I've just shown that row 79 can never have 4 seats - whatever map you look at, and regardless of any KE passengers!

But I think the point is that it can and should have 79J, which the OP says he for some reason cannot seat on the seat map.

I was hoping he might show his view.

Whatever he was looking at sounds wrong - because I've never seen a KLM seatmap on KLM.com that didn't load the "correct" seatmap (they don't simply "not show" the seats that are blocked/selected) - it should have been immediately obvious that row 79 can never have 4 seats.

I do not think they block that seat for the crew, there is two extra seats in the cockpit and a a crew rest room with beds. Also I have been on that seat before. It is pretty private as people usually only go down the stairs when (de)boarding.
