Spend Your Hard-earned Miles on a Doctor

According to luchtvaartnieuws.nl KL has introduced a new service called "Dokter mee op reis" (take a doc along). For only €12.95 per month you can consult a KLM Health Services expert 24/7 by phone/e-mail/text message etc. and get advice in your own language.

FB members will soon be able to pay for this service with miles.

What's next? I hear that future new LTPEs can choose between a) a complimentary colonoscopy, or b) a free subscription to chiropractor's quarterly.

With all these new slimline seats, extra seat rows etc., the latter option will be especially popular.

But the quality of lounge food and inflight catering suggests that option a) might be prudent.

Details of this new service have been published
http://store.flyingblue.com/health-b...12-months.html

It costs only 23980 miles
How was this sum calculated remains a mystery. Especially when the advice you will get from a Dutch doctor will likely be - take some Ibuprofen and call us back in five days...

Marketing psychology 1.01.

At 24,000 miles they would not have had any takers.

According to an e-mail just in, I can now pay my KLM Curaçao Marathon entry fee with 3,500 FB miles, in lieu of €35.--

Upon completion, I shall most likely have to consult a KLM Health Services expert for another 23,980 miles.

At a cent a mile that is not a bad deal! Compare that to the other non-flight redemptions which hover at around half that!
