Why do you think they over booked? Perhaps they just sold all available seats..?
Or, if you are looking at seat reservations, maybe they have disabled changing seats for now, meaning all seats will be shown as taken.

If by "wiped-out" you mean that there are no fare buckets displayed at all any more for your flight, as opposed to J0, C0 etc., then there are no seats at all available for sale, and it is not possible to waitlist at any price. Chances are pretty good that the flight is overbooked in that case.
