Tried to book a promo award from uk to IAH and return from DFW on Award web site. This froze when I got to "seat selection". Rang Awards who began the booking process over again. I got to the point where I could provisionally book it but my phone dropped contact. However when I checked I found that I did have a provisional PRN.... crisis over. I realised that I had not paid the taxes rang Awards with my reference no. to be told that as the promos ended on Oct 31st and whilst the flight from DFW did leave on the 31st, my connection to the UK would be on Nov 1st so the ticket was invalid! I offered to terminate my trip at AMS... ah but that would involve changing my ticket and promo awards can't be changed.

I then returned to the Award web page and found promo fares on 31st from DFW back into the UK were still being shown as available, with a connection on 1st Nov as late as 15.15 back from AMS to a variety of regional airports.

Q Has anybody flown on a promo that departed on the final day with the connecting flight departing on the day after the promo expired?

The issue has been resolved. I rang again, got a different csa and am now departing UK a day later than planned but bizarrly returning from the USA on Oct 31 to get back into the UK on on a flight which leaves AMS on Nov 1st.
