Do you happen to know, ajs123, why Delta are serving dentists' mouth-rinse, and/or where they acquired it?

actually that was cran-apple "juice" - a delicious chemical concoction provided by Coca Cola. It bridged the biscoff cookie and the particularly dry peanuts (southern style) very well. For obvious reasons I declined to have it served with ice.

Further improvements of the inflight snack
I nearly didn't believe it but it seems KLM enhanced their inflight meal, ahh I mean snack, offering. And this time, they might actually really improved on the dreaded TUC and Prince offerring.
Today on KL1875 from AMS to STR I was offered "Delicious Treats" from KLM. Some savoury snacks and some sweet mini chocolate cookies. http://imgur.com/GyJ2H.jpg http://imgur.com/70BKq.jpg http://imgur.com/k2AYp.jpg And admittedly, the snack was tastier than the TUC... |
Wow, to think that I missed out on those cute little snack yesterday, just because I was given an OpUp to ES! To seat 2B no less, one of the two worst seats on the entire plane (the other is 1E), with no legroom (bulkhead) and pax on either side. I was blessed with two real overweight guys, but saved by the immovable armrests. Didn't stop one of them from snoring and having restless legs at the same time. Have never seen that before!
The famous super lightweight snack box came without a card describing the contents (the result of another weight and money saving exercise?), so I can only report that I was served meal HD-1, which included the purplest dessert I have ever seen or eaten. Minimal quantities, as usual, but actually all pretty tasty by in-flight meal standards. Other highlights of the ES experience included a total of two Dutch newspapers (De Telegraaf and FD) for the entire cabin (I settled for a Swedish one presented as Danish) and the cabin divider in the wrong place, with a whole row of Y pax ending up in ES. A desultory attempt to move the divider failed, after which the lucky pax were asked if they knew which class they were traveling in. They cheerfully confessed to having booked economy tickets, and were presumably served these fantastic new snacks right behind my back, without me ever knowing! Johan |

As Plats we were offered BOTH a TUC and a Cookie on both of our flights at the weekend! Everyone else only got one or the other within earshot....I was stuffed!

BUT WHERE DID MY STROOPWAFEL GO??? The snack menu on the AMS-FCO-AMS flights was always a sandwich first, then a stroopwafel with the coffee/tea. I often took the last one only (and asked shamefully for another wafel) - but on my last few flights there have been no more stroopwafels..... :( |
