Anna.aero is reporting that Qatar Airways is looking at launching flights to Amsterdam next year, though nothing has yet been officially announced.
Qatar has been flying from Brussels for the last couple of years.
Qatar has recently joined oneworld and I am absolutely over the moon that they may be coming to Amsterdam. I've flown them several times before and will be flying with them again in January down to Australia. I hope this is confirmed soon and that there are some good launch offers!

Incidentally, Etihad's new regional European airline - they are acquiring a stake in Swiss carrier Darwin and rebranding it Etihad Regional - will be active at AMS next year.

According to fd.nl, Emirates' Amsterdam service has been allowed to go double-daily with the A380 from 1 February next. Currently it operates the AMS route with a daily A380 and a daily 777.

Great! The more competition the better, and the more flatbed seats the better.
Needless to say, the chairman of the union for overpaid KL pilots has started whinging, whining and wailing, as usual.

And KL are throwing in the towel on the Doha route.
EDIT: And Abu Dhabi reduces from daily to 5-times weekly

Flights to Bahrain, now operated in combination with Doha, continue six times a week (currently five times) but after a short stopover in Kuwait. Dammam will also be served directly while Muscat flights will have a short stopover in the Saudi city. KLM’s flights to Dubai remain unchanged.
