How long does it take to issue an e-ticket?

A week ago I booked a flight on KLM.ch. I received the confirmation number and was able to select seats (it's an ES/WBC combination). But so far neither my credit card has been charged nor did I receive an e-ticket number. How long can this take? I hope, they issue the ticket before departure on December 14 !

I'm pretty sure KLM will issue an e-ticket as soon as they've successfully charged the credit card. In my experience, that normally happens within 24 hours or so, often in minutes in fact.

However, I do recall an instance a while ago... 12 months? 18 months? - something like that -when it took something like 2 weeks for me to get an e-ticket. I phoned several times, was told my booking was confirmed, but was also told that there was a delay in the finance office in processing bookings and credit cards. hence delaying e-tickets being sent out. Can't remember why. Maybe your delay is due to something similar? Anyway, I'd guess you'll get your e-ticket very quickly after your credit card is charged.

Hope that helps a bit.
