A postive jetblue experience!!

Yesterday, I was scheduled to fly from JFK-SLC on B6 87 which leaves at 500pm. Well I left my job at 145pm in Southern Monmouth County. I was doing fine till I hit the belt parkway. I don't know whether it was regular rush hour traffic (at 245p??) or if it was an accident. So I hit detour on my garmin and got routed thru the streets of Brooklyn. I swear I must have hit every light in Brooklyn. Anyway, I didn't get to the terminal till about 450pm, and I tried to check in at the skycap, they said I had to check-in inside and that my flight was delayed (thank god for JFK ATC) and that I might make it. So after waiting on line at around 510pm, 10 minutes after scheduled departure. I tell the agent "I know I'm late but if there is anyway I can get on this flight I'd appreciate it". She says "Drop your bag, it won't make it but you might..Gate 10" So after going thru Security, I go to gate 10 which luckily was right infront of me. I tell the GA that I'm on the flight to SLC, she says "Hurry" She opens 2 closed doors and tells me to run. I am running down the jetway with my shoes in my hand and made the flight. This must have been about 530pm by now (30 minutes after departure). The agents could have said your late the flights closed, go to customer service to be rerouted. But they took care of me. The GA had to run down the jetway to open the 2nd door.

Thank you Jetblue.

This is the reason that Jetblue's not the only way to fly, but it should be.

Right.... where you can arrive 30 minutes after the scheduled departure and still be on time. Once it is late, it isn't going to be much of a big deal to wait an extra minute or 2. I wouldn't expect this to happen when the plane is ..... gasp ..... on time.

Ok maybe I was a little excited about making my flight and overreacted but she was geniunely concerned with me making the flight to me that is a positive experience.
