Myr?
I was looking at faremeasure.com. According to thier figures, there an average of 748 people a day that go between NYC and MYR. There currently is service to MYR from EWR (on CO) and LGA (on Spirit). What is the likelyhood of B6 picking this up as a E190 city? Maybe do it with 2x daily service from JFK and 1X daily from BOS?

I sure thought that when Hooters Air (Pace Air) folded that jetBlue would start service on the route...that didn't happen. Also, how are the fares in general? My guess would be that Spirit sells most seats extremely cheap, just because they're Spirit. CO probably has a good mix of fares. But, is there enough room for the three to compete effectively? I think 2x or 3x on the E190 to JFK for sure would do well...considering jetBlue's product is far superior to the two aforementioned airlines.

BOS-MYR O&D is 138 per day (as per faremeasure.com). It is marginal numbers to start daily service on. It might work. Look at the O&D for BOS-LGB in 1999 vs today. With B6 marketing the route in BOS I think it would expand the route to a profitable level.
As far as going out of JFK, I think it would be a great route for B6, even with the competition from Spirit running that route out of LGA. It would be great to start in June in time for the summer peak season.

Spirit will begin to fly BOS-MYR-FLL daily this Spring and US Airways used to offer nonstop seasonal flights. I think B6 could easily take market share away from spirit on this route for both NYC and BOS
