Boston is it a mistake?
They are predicting once again (last time was 2 weeks ago) that a NorEaster will dump bet 12-18" of snow on BOS
The last time Logan was closed for a day or 2, I guess it will close again. I know that JFK at times gets these also but not as often as BOS does. With the future expansion at BOS it can wreck their schedule Unless they use Planes that will go simply as turn arounds from/to BOS.

Huh?
Are you seriously worried about snow? In Boston? For an airline based out of JFK? The Northeast Airports tend to all have plenty of snow removal equipment, de-icing, etc. Plus the storm 2 weeks ago was one of the 5 biggest in the last century. Don't get too many of those, and the upcoming storm in Boston may not even close the airport.
I think Jetblue found success much more quickly in Boston than they were expecting. Does that warrant the kind of expansion they have in mind? Maybe. But adding one gate every six months or so over the next 3 years should allow them to manage their growth more evenly.
I don't think snow is even on their radar.

What's wrong with BOS?
You could find faults for every airport. Anywhere in FL is bad because hurricanes could hit. Anywhere up north is bad because there is snow. Anywhere in CA is bad because who know, an earthquake is possible. There's always a downside no matter where you go. BOS is a great place. If B6 didn't go to BOS, where would they go? Plus BOS has lots of gate space opening up, with DL/Song/CO getting a new, great terminal. Let B6, Song and AA duke it out in BOS!
