New boarding process
Had a nice little laugh this morning, when B6 announced that they were "simplifying" the boarding process.. by going to 8 different boarding groups (LOL):
We always like to give our Mosaic members first dibs, and want to let you know that starting next week (April 29), we’re introducing a simplified boarding process. All boarding groups will be numbered (Groups 1–8)—with Mosaic 3 & 4 in Group 1, and Mosaic 1 & 2 in Group 2 (both Groups 1 & 2 board through a dedicated lane).
Following is the new boarding order:
Following is the new boarding order:
- Group 1: Mosaic 3 & 4 members, Mint customers
- Group 2: Mosaic 1 & 2 members, EvenMore customers
- Group 3: JetBlue Premier Card Cardmembers, JetBlue Business Cardmembers. Blue Extra fares, Early Boarding Perks You Pick (excluding Blue Basic fares)
- Courtesy Boarding: Active military, Customers traveling with car seats or strollers
- Group 4: JetBlue Vacations customers and general boarding based on seat location
- Groups 5 - 8: General boarding based on seat location

I am Mosaic 1, and have been for years...
I am sorry to see EVEN MORE SPACE customers sharing group 2 with Mosaic 1 & 2.
Depending on the plane, isn't EMS like an additional 20-30 seats?
Edit: on an A320....it is....5 rows of 6 seats so 30 seats
The current system has EMS customers boarding in group 4 - the group AFTER Mosaic 1 & 2
I assume pre-boarding group stays the same

Numbers apparently work better for non-native English speakers and non-English speakers. I am going to slightly miss the "A as in Airplane", "B as in Blue", "C as in Captain", "D as in Destination", "E as in Engine" groups though.
If you look at the groups side by side, EvenMore seats move up one group to join M1/M2 and the early boarding perk (and maybe Blue Extra, it's always been really unclear) moves up one normal group (ahead of courtesy boarding). I think it makes sense to improve the perk because when I was doing 25for25, I frequently got group B before I picked the early boarding perk.

While there is nothing "simple" about this, I don't have any issues with this change. This seems like an overall win for M3/4 and EMS pax, and will hopefully reduce crowding in the jet bridge.
