Fare Changes and EMS Upcharges
I noticed that one of my flights the point price just dropped. So I canceled and rebooked. I then noticed that the even more seats went from $79 to $99. I was paying the $79 but now I'm not so sure if I want to spend $99 each for a couple of seats. That's $396 extra for two seats round trip.

Prices are dynamic. It's a tough lesson to learn, but it's worth checking EMS prices before pulling the trigger to rebook at a lower rate.
That said, prices for EMS can change over time, so you could keep checking back, whether you decide to grab the seats now or not.
