B6 IFE issues - a thread
Hi all,
I was looking around this forum for a thread like this (because I think there totally should be) but it looks like there wasn't, so here we are!
If you didn't know, JetBlue's fleet of varying ages has some issues with IFE from time to time, and I've noticed this in the past 8 years of flying on JetBlue. They used to give compensation for this if you tweeted at them, but it seems they no longer do, so I thought "what if there was a thread where B6 passengers can give other B6 passengers a heads-up about broken things (especially IFE) in planes?" I'll go first.
I flew on N959JB (a 2015 A321 non-Mint, the one that tipped back at JFK in October) on Sunday, and the headphone jack in seat 18A does not work as of 2/18/2024. The screen works fine, but it is impossible to get audio. I tried three different pairs of earbuds.
If anyone catches any other problems with these aging systems, please post them below! If something is fixed, say that too! Mods, if you think this is stupid, I understand.

There's IFE and wifi on E190's? ;-)
Seriously though, back at Presidents Day weekend did a round trip BOS-DCA and got the same plane both ways (N337JB/"I'm With Blue"). Going south on Saturday, the wifi was working OK, but the IFE was completely dead (no one I could see could even change channels in any way). Going back on Monday, couldn't get the wifi to log in, but the TV was completely working, and the SXM radio was almost working, which I thought was unpossible at this point. You could select and play any of the radio stations, but there was horrible feedback on the audio which sounded like trying to listen to an AM radio station from too far away. But it's the first time in a while the SXM has even been partially functional.
The fact that it was all the same plane three days apart seems on par.

N267JB
Well, well, well, another day, another E190 having a seizure. I flew N267JB from JFK-BOS on Sunday and we encountered this plane acting a little goofy and not being able to decide what year it is. In true E190 fashion, most TVs were showing the blue static screen during boarding. A pre-recorded audio safety demo (which i didnt know jetBlue did has anyone heard it before?) played over the PA and the TVs flickered out of their blue static dreamland into that welcome video boasting non-existent features like power ports and full-flight Fly-Fi. After takeoff, these TVs clearly had a little too many inflight drinks, with the seat next to me showing the original Sirius-less map software from what I assume is LiveTV 1.0 (picture below), while mine showed the normal LiveTV 2.0 map with SiriusXM. Then, after landing, this same TV that showed the old map began showing what looked like a LiveTV screensaver. E190 issues could be a whole, extremely hilarious thread tbh. This is a 2007 E190. if anyone knows why these things happened, please tell me! Im honestly so curious about the interesting tech of this old system.

The old map on the TV next to me. Anyone know why this happened?

My tv had the regular one 🤷♂️

what even is this.
