Noob Question
Mods, please relocate if necessary.
I am an American Airlines Executive Platinum. I haven't flown JetBlue in many years.
I was looking for a flight from LAX to MIA and my sweet spot was AA Flagship Business. However, they are down to one flight per day on this route and on the day I want to travel (May 7) that flight is an afternoon, and I wanted a redeye. However, JetBlue has actually two flights with Mint on that route, leaving at 9:47PM and 10:15PM. The usuall AA fare is $699 and the JetBlue fares are $699 and $799.
I've heard good things about Mint, but I also noticed it was an A321 in 2-2 configuration, and the Flagship Biz flights on AA are 1-2-1 on a B777, which is much wider.
So my question is, how does the seat and the overall experience on A321 Mint compare to AA Flagship Business on a B777? Obviously the main thing I'm looking for is a comfortable way to sleep my way back to the east coast.

If I take a connection, and book Mint on the transcon, what do I get on the "local" flights where Mint isn't offered?
I'm going from LAS to PHL. It looks like I can fly LAS-LAX-BOS-PHL. (I could fly, I think, LAS-BOS but it's much more expensive.)
The LAX-MIA noted above was just part of the trip, because I'm looking for lie-flats on the transcon. I hadn't really thought about flying to JFK or BOS.

On the local flight you would get whatever you book. If you book a core seat, you would get a core seat. Mint on a different segment has no impact.
I am not sure if EXP gets free EMS, but I think not.
A number of years ago I saw a ranking of tcon premium products. It went AA F > JB J > other legacy J. Many things have changed since then but that's how it used to be IIRC.
