The dreaded ssss
I was handed a ticket with the dreaded SSSS printed on it....It also had a large hand-written SSSS on it, both were highlighted in bright yellow marker.
Given the demeanor and comments of the agent I am somewhat suspicious that it was initiated for other than security concerns.
Can B6 ticket agents add SSSS at thier discretion????

If the agent marked SSSS, were you pulled for additional screening at security?
The agent can't write SSSS on their discretion but if you were already pre-selected by the TSA, the TSA agent inspecting your ID and boarding pass would have already realized that you are flagged and would have escorted you to the dedicated screening area regardless what is written on your boarding pass.
