First time flying jetBlue
My wife and I became members of jetBlue’s mileage program in 2008, and we are just now flying jetBlue for the first time. Is that uncommon?

There are millions of people who haven't flown them. Considering your SFO location AS & UA are much stronger and B6 has far more limited routing options.
I only flew AS for the first time last November but was a member of their program since 2013.
