Getting full refund

I am new to JetBlue and had a question. I recently got status with JetBlue through a match. My status match expires the end of 2016. If I book award tickets for January 2017 can I still cancel them for a full refund (points redeposited and $5.60 fee refunded) as long as I cancel the tickets before 12/31/2016?
Any advice / tips would be helpful. Thank you!

I would think so, but (if I were you) I'd email JetBlue and ask that question so you have a written response, if needed later. I wouldn't risk losing $!

Does the $5.60 fee get refunded as a JetBlue credit or do I get it refunded to the credit card I used?

I have the same question about revenue tickets for Mosaic members. Do we get refunded or JetBlue credit? TIA

Travel bank credit, unless you buy it as a refundable fare.

I have no idea, but I'd say that a $5.60 gamble to get the award you want secured now is a reasonable one.

The $5.60 goes back to your Travel Bank if you bought a regular ticket.

Does the travel bank credit expire? If so how long do I have to use it?

I've been looking around trying to figure out a similar question on how travel bank credit works. It expires after a year, but I'm not sure if that's a year from original purchase, travel, cancellation or some other date.

To clarify, award points are fully refunded? YMMV on the $5.60 tax.

When I called the mosiac customer service line, they stated points go back into your account and $5.60 goes back to your travel bank.
