TSA lines?

Been reading in the news about TSA lines being crazy long this week. Anybody travel out of Boston on Jetblue recently that can speak to the lines?
Have an early morning flight coming up.

Terminal C can be pretty bad, if your flight is leaving form C8, C9 or C10 security won't be that bad as there's only 3 gates in that wing, though with only 3 gates there's not much for food options if you need a bite before departing.

If you are departing from the main portion of Terminal C then I'd allow for at least an hour.

My last 2 flights, mid-day last week and this on Monday, PreCheck line was very short. I have no info about early morning.

Last Tuesday afternoon had the all-time worst TSA lines I've ever seen in Terminal C. It must have been 75+ minutes. The line backed-up into the front part of the terminal. The PreCheck line was probably 15-20 minutes (also the worst I've ever seen). If this is what TSA staffing this summer will be like, JetBlue will have MASSIVE issues in Boston. Not their fault (and they're already sending emails telling customers to arrive 2 hours early) but no other BOS terminal (in my travels) seems to have the security line issues of Terminal C. Before TSA staffing issues this meant 30 minute security lines (regularly only having 2 or 3 lines open for the ENTIRE TERMINAL) vs. 5-15 minutes at the other BOS terminals. It is now officially insane at Terminal C.

I love JetBlue but they need to scream at MassPort right now and demand more staffing for Terminal C or they will lose business customers who simply will move business to American or United in Terminal B for the summer (I alredy know someone doing this) because they aren't willing to arrive so early/wait in an insane line.

We were counting on eating at the terminal. Mm... guess we'll have to pack something that can go through security just in case since we have a 6 hour flight.
Thanks.

Are C8-10 entering via their own checkpoint, or via the main C checkpoint? While it sounds like you can't yet access terminal E from terminal C airside, it sounds like C8-10 are connected to the rest of terminal C.

The Massport terminal map shows they are connected, thus I would assume access is via the main C checkpoint (which has the disadvantage of long lines, but the advantage that you have access to all of C (except for the C40-42 area).

C8-C10 are accessed through the main checkpoint just like the rest of the B6's gates. They do not have their own checkpoint like C40-42.

The terminal C-E connector is officially open, with first-hand confirmation from a FT member:

Logan airside transfer terminal C to E?

Next time I fly B6 I think I'll try terminal E security. I've been spoiled so far, using the mostly empty AA Shuttle security post in terminal B to catch my UA flights. Took me all of 30 seconds on Tuesday.

Completely agree. This is what happens when you target "high end leisure customers" and non-business travelers. When there is an issue with airport security, their inexperience with travel exacerbates the problem.

I'm not planning to fly through LGA early AM again until they reopen the PreCheck lane.

Any recent MCO lines experience?
I'm used to the zoo that is MCO (and LGA for that matter), but haven't flown B6 from MCO. It's mid/late Monday evening and not school holidays so hoping a less bad zoo

I was at MCO twice in April and used PreCheck without issue. The main lines were much longer though so I would add in time or get Even More Speed if you're concerned.

Anyone have recent LAX T-3 experience with TSA PreCheck? The last two times I went thru, lines were very long and PreCheck was not staffed.

I'm holding a ticket on AA too where I know I can get in fast with status just in case its slow again.

Then to make matters more frustrating and easier to jump away from JetBlue Mint, JetBlue shut down the guest exit from the JFK terminal that let you get the AirTrain into NYC fast. Now you will add another 5-10 minutes just to exit through cattleherded masses at the JFK terminal once you arrive with no checked bags.

I'm flying out tomorrow around midday so I'll be able to report back. JetBlue sent me an email earlier this week saying to arrive two hours prior to scheduled departure due to long security lines, however with Pre✓ I have zero intention of actually doing that.
