Skipping a segment question

I am based out of NYC and need to go to Korea for an emergency.

JFK-ICN on Asiana comes out to be $1500

I can book BOS-ICN via JFK with BOS-JFK being Jetblue and JFK-ICN being the same Asiana for $880.

If I don't show up for Jetblue flight, will my Asiana reservation get cancelled?

Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Probably a bad idea. I'm not 100% certain on the OZ/B6 deal but most such relationships would see your plans end badly.

Try pricing JFK-ICN through the B6 website and the Asiana Website...

Can you book as multi-segment, Bos-Jfk one day, then jfk-icn many days later? If you need to be in Boston at some point before your longer trip, this might be beneficial.

OP said it's an emergency trip. I doubt they have time to go to Boston a few days in advance and then to Korea.

Missed that. Another option is to do Jfk-Icn-jfk-(Bos).

Round trip may come out to the average of the two fares.

I had luck calling the airline when I wanted to cancel a segment but not my whole flight.

I had a round-trip from Newark to Dusseldorf. Outbound was a direct flight, but the return was Dusseldorf -> Hamburg -> Newark. We were going to be in Hamburg and wanted to cancel having to go back to Dusseldorf just for the flight to Hamburg.

I had to get a three-way going between Lufthansa and Expedia, but I eventually made it work.
