Auto Check-In?
I've noticed that Jetblue has been auto checking me in lately. Is this new? Do they do this for everyone? I mean, it makes sense. They don't oversell so the check-in process is pretty useless for an all-JetBlue itinerary.

I had it happen for the first time coming back from PHL a couple weeks ago. Normal check in process outbound.
Is this happening on your first leg of an itinerary, or just the return trip?

They announced something like this awhile ago. I forget who has been getting it first.

My last few flights have all done it. I initially thought it was just Mint flights but it has been all of them in the past 6 weeks.
The only issue is if you plan to change or upgrade your seat, you need to uncheck yourself in, change the seat, then check in again.

You can simply go through the check-in process again without un-checking in to change your seat. Also, you can do it at the kiosk.

Once you've been checked in, the system doesn't let you check in again. It only gives you options for a boarding pass. I even asked JetBlue about this and they told me you have to uncheck in to change a seat. I know you can use a kiosk but not everyone wants to wait until arriving at the airport.

I've flown three roundtrips in the past two weeks and was able to view and change my seat assignments after check-in and going back through the check-in dialog. You are able to change your seat through the check-in process without having to un-check in (there is a button for that option if you still want to do it that way), up to some cutoff time (I think it's an hour and a half) where it goes to airport control. However, the button to check in is grayed out. Up top, there is a link to check in that still works, and it will send you to the check-in dialog where it gives you options to change your flight, change your seat, print boarding passes, add special requests, etc.
The check-in dialog I've mentioned has an identical layout to the kiosk. This might be new.
