I'm trying to find the source of this.. nothing on FB page or their website.
Updated... it's confirmed. What a selfless gesture ... and confirmed seats over busy holiday travel. Bravo!

This isn't the sort of thing typically pushed out through "normal" consumer-facing PR channels. No need to inform all your passengers that it is happening since it doesn't really affect them.

Thanks - some will say it's marketing move good for B6 but surely, why not - a win-win and beneficial to smaller law enforcement agencies who otherwise might find it difficult to be represented. B6 also working with its partner airline to fly family relatives abroad to come to the US with funeral arrangement pending - passports have been obtained & waiting for the rush visas (holiday period overseas.)
Several families will find this Christmas to be a very difficult one with the cold-blooded, tragic and senseless losses - while waiting for flight/connections - something to read about (shared via Facebook) As it turned out, we indirectly knew of one of the MOS killed in the line of duty (Members of Service)

+1 for B6! While I've been seeing a steady decline is pax benefits (used to be 2 free checked bags up to 70 lbs, extended legroom used to be ~$10/leg), overall their service has been quite good... It's why about 85% of my US travel happens on B6 metal.
Things like this gesture by B6 make me even more likely to send business their way. Keep it up!

Black mourning band for the badge, again !
Classy, but saddened - that, flags are lowered again in our hometown, NYC - driving past the old Flushing airport (and, old amusement park) off the Whitestone Expwy - new home & training site of the PD Academy this week.
Officer Holder was given the ultimate salute as a fallen hero by fellow MOS (Member of Service) as they are known earlier this week, including first responders @FDNY. http://abc7ny.com/news/video-nypd-fd...illed/1044103/
He has one final flight next week, going back to his birthplace as the resting place - let's see if one of B6's alliance partner can take care of the special trip to Guyana. R.I.P.
