The time it takes to get food is insane!!! My first movie just ended and I have not been brought dinner. Row 1 just now got their dinner. I think this is ridiculous and I remember now thinking it 8 months ago also. How can it take so long this is ruining my chance to get some sleep.
I guess 1 FA for 15 ppl is causing this.

This is super annoying, and was an issue even when they had dual FAs/extra help from the rest of the crew during meal services. They really need to sort this out on night flights especially.
This is a constant on basically every domestic airline at this point, and genuinely not that major - it's a bathroom, I don't begrudge those in the rows right behind Mint for not hauling to the back of the plane when they need to go No amenity kit so no socks plus not the most comfy seat and a poor IFE. Well not as poor as DL 767 I had on the way out. I dont like T5 either at JFK and no lounge. Every time I do end up on B6 I question why I did it. |

I've learned to readjust my expectations that my meal will be 1 hour after takeoff to closer to 2 hours on JetBlue, and plan my other eating accordingly. It does drive me crazy though. (And yes, every time I do end up on B6 I also question it ... more delays, less comfortable seat and problems with entertainment system/wifi than others, etc. I think I still just remember the early days of Mint and haven't quite come to internalize how far it has fallen)

No question was too much a few years ago but now I do always make sure I phrase it as extra nice as possible much like ya have to done AA so ya don’t get the smirk of death. |
JFK-LGW
Oct 17 Nothing mind-blowing, but still a solid menu & drinks. Enjoyed it. *Still 100x better than United Polaris. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...71ebe24ab.jpeg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...6cf01cf0c.jpeg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...588a40cbd.jpeg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...af421e28c.jpeg |
BOS-LAS
November 10 Nothing on the menu looked appealing, so I ordered the Kosher meal: https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...c0aa28ee16.png Westbound Mint Kosher Breakfast Menu https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...f376ae56fb.jpg Vanilla Rugelach https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...15e95021a4.jpg Shakshuka, Challah French toast, and Asparagus & sundried tomato frittata Almost everything was inedible. The egg in the shakshuka was not poached. I'm honestly not sure how they managed to get it to that texture, as I've never seen an egg where the white was so hard that it was difficult to cut through. It sat in jarred tomato sauce, not spicy at all. The French toast had the consistency of packing peanuts, except for the bottom pieces that had soaked up the syrup from the canned peaches (no citrus) and had become mush. The frittata was very bland and spongy. That said, the hash was a salty, greasy mush, but kind of tasty and the only thing that I ate. |

SPMLs have always been awful, including sadly on B6.

There’s only one FA to do everything from PDB to meal ordering, multiple drink offers and a heated meal? I get it for domestic F, but not Mint…which should be elevated since it’s a lie flat product.

Was wondering is it always the case that food service will be front to back? I have another B6 flight coming up and I refuse to wait 2.5 hours for food. So I was thinking of taking row 1.. I will be with my Mom so skipping the throne seat is fine. Is there any sort of FEBO type policy or is it always front to back?
Thanks :) |

November 15 I stuck with the Kosher meal for my return flight as the Persian beef stew sounded good: https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...a708943c8d.png However, even though it was a 1:55pm flight, I received the shut-eye menu rather than lunch/dinner: https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...60f409c6c0.png https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...8d6a40c5fb.jpg Instead of assorted nuts to start, I was given taralli, and could have happily eaten them for the entire flight. Overall, the food was much better than my BOS-LAS flight, even though I am not a huge fish fan. I didn't eat the poached cod but found the barley and lima beans bland but fine. The smoked trout was dry and very fishy (even for a smoked fish), but the pickled vegetables and pineapple under it were tasty, if a bit odd. The chicken and couscous was water-logged and a very unappealing texture. The trail mix was a tasty mix of nuts, dried fruits, and mini chocolate chips. The Napoleon cake was incredibly sweet, and the roll was stale. I was also served a cup of Earl Grey and two bottles of red wine, which I was told came with the meal. |
