Just had a very nice Mint flight with an especially awesome FA. His name was Dev. He does just FLL/LAX he said. I also now will proclaim (after 10 AA FF flights in the last 20 months) that Jet Blue does have better catering. Those cheese sticks were great and the tomatoes with the fluke were delicious. The chile oil elevated the salad. I found the burrata not to be that special but still decent.

I think I can even justify now losing the lounge, ice cream sundae & soup course....... However, I really love having a dedicated F cabin, i.e. turning left. There wasnt even a curtain between Mint & coach. During boarding you cant get up to use the lav or even get stuff out of the overhead. Also, I enjoy the larger lav that you get on the widebody.

All that said though the single biggest issue for me is still their seat. There is absolutely no place to put your feet. The leg rest isnt comfy for me unless you cross your legs. I just ended up putting me feel on the ground. I dont like how the seat lowers all the way down and there is no real foot well unless your down low. There arent many seats like this and I personally just dont like them. I want an ottoman or footwell on the same level as my seat cushion where I put my feet out onto.

GREAT service though and better catering than AA.

I loved the pine nuts and pesto with the burrata. Is there a picture of the fluke? I was trying to give tips to a friend for next week because I found the chicken to be dry.

I saw a photo of the fluke the other day on FB and it looked very nice.

How do I post a picture on here? I've never done it. Tried once and had a problem. I have a pic of the entire plate when all 3 dishes came out with champagne in the middle.

Very simple presentation. A little sauce to the left of the Fluke and then blistered tomatoes. Thought the tomatoes were very good.

Quality of the burrata was decent not the greatest. I actually thought the pesto had a really weird taste to it.

Any eastbound domestic June reports? I'm curious about the farro salad and the trout in particular.

Seems like no one has been flying Mint recently (myself included, mostly because how ridiculous fares have been) but looks like August/September menus are up and they have a new look as well (plus lots of typos on the Eastbound shut-eye one).

Both the eastbound and westbound lunch/dinner options look pretty good and I'm now seriously tempted to switch my BOS-SFO in September from DL...

I last flew Mint August 1st, and had the new menus, new chef/restaurant group. I would say the quality remains the same, and they are still trying to be more creative than other airlines. Although I have to say that for, example, on a breakfast flight, it would not be bad thing to have a more mainstream breakfast offering, like regular eggs, etc. The Italian Plums and chia seed pudding are a bit over the top for my kind of breakfast. Really good eggs, crisp bacon, and good hash browns are not a bad thing :) I have yet to have their "poached" egg that was not any different than a hard boiled egg. (Although I just noticed you can order a "Plane Eats" menu as a special request which does get you a more basic meal).

I'm flying again this week, and will likely look at one of the special meal requests. Trout is not on my list of must-haves :)

Westbound Breakfast August 2022

https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...e9c46728a.jpeg
Maple bacon, smoked salmon, waffle, and chia seed pudding

https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...13d4de3b7.jpeg
Waffle - peach jam, maple syrup. A bit on the sweet side.

Smoked salmon - tomato conserva. Missing the crostini for some reason though. Would have been nice to have the crostini with this.

Chia seed pudding - preserved blackberries. Delicious, love chia seed pudding.

I should have taken a picture of it, but I just had the Eastbound Gluten Free breakfast yesterday. Started off with an oats/raspberry breakfast bar which was quite tasty. Then a waffle with maple syrup and it is sweet, but I was impressed that the waffle was GF - it was very tasty. Then feta omelet and chicken sausage, which were also hot and tasty, with roasted potatoes. And there was a side of fruit, mostly orange slices (or perhaps tangerines). Again, well presented and fresh.

Nice looking menu for sure but just be cool if they did a cheese course with out having to ask it for from couch and even more so would love some different desserts.. pot de creme, banana pudding, ginger toffee cake, etc etc. Could offer the gelato but with one other option.

There usually is a choice between the gelato and a fruit plate. I don’t remember if there’s cheese with the fruit though … I always go for the gelato. LOL

I mean how many mint routes are there anyway? Half a dozen? 10? I feel left out, all I’ve gotten over the years are 3oz cheese itz and a can of coke

basically each of the transcon routes between NY/Boston and LAX/SFO. Plus FLL/MIA and LAX/SFO.

Then there are select routes between the northeast and the Caribbean and all flights between the northeast and London. They’ll be adding another European city in 2023 I’ve read.

I think they would add more routes but they need more A321 longer range jets.
