We're back now and I wanted to mention that the TSA precheck is NOT working consistently with online checkin boarding passes. We had about a 50% success rate. We had to have some of the boarding passes reprinted at the airport counter. Next time, we'll use the app.

And yes, the bag drop line moved quickly.

Just this past Monday, I didn't get precheck (despite having GE??) and tried exactly what you said above since the regular line was quite a bit shorter than the EMS line.

I was instantly confronted by the most incredulous TSA one-striper who looked like the mean older brother from Weird Science, who literally yelled at me that I "cannot just go anywhere [I] want". It didn't set a great tone for the morning.
