Was really hoping this would have been CVG, been long past due that JetBlue arrives there.

Will be interesting to see how this changes the pricing on the route. DL BOS-DTW fares are typically ridiculous since they have the only direct. Should be good for anyone who flies the route. ^

I agree with you. Probably not for a while. They will consider it. Perhaps I think B6 will announce DTW-LAX/SFO/LGB/SAN and etc.

DL will be big pissed at JetBlue. There's no competition at all.

CVG got Allegiant service instead. DTW is the smarter move - bigger market than CVG and B6 can transfer people to the IST/DXB flights plus other European destinations (especially KEF and DUB/SNN).

DL would go nuclear on B6 if they started west coast routes. They would be driven out of those rather quickly. They should be able to compete on DTW-BOS without a hitch. Serving 51 destinations helps to create a decent sized frequent flier base regardless of the pros and cons of your program.

Right! They will able connection through BOS and it is an easier way to do it. Your bags will be automatically through your final destination cities. You don't have re-claimed the bag at baggage claim. Just go straight to other gates at entire terminal E.

Several years ago there was this tiny airline flying DTW-BOS. Forgot the name. But yeah, DL will not be happy.

Cool! Finally service to an airport reasonably close enough to me that I can give B6 a try.

Actually, NK tried DTW-BOS in a few years ago, but they didn't have a last longer. It was very short time. Oh well!

Was hoping for Atlanta, but DTW is a great market, especially on the Boston route.

In a fairly short time, B6 from BOS did DFW... then PHL... now DTW.

Don't worry. ATL is coming. Mark my word.

Yes, NK it was.
Why did they pull out? And why does B6 thinks it will work for them?

I have no absolutely idea. Yes, JetBlue should be done very well. It will getting more tougher competition against DL.

Perhaps it was one of those deals between JetBlue and the state? The state of Massachusetts basically subsidized JetBlue's costs to get them to serve ORH.
