Angry BDL to SJU

Is anyone else incensed at the fact that the only non-stop from BDL to SJU has been changed to an afternoon outbound and the price ( for 2 ) has gone from $850 to $2150 !! That's right $2150 !! As soon as American stopped it's non stop and Blue took over I knew this was coming. Connecticut has one of the highest percentage of Puerto Rican people in the country and this is one of the worst "gouge" jobs I have ever seen. Has anyone on here discussed this? It has been mentioned in local papers and on some talk radio.

Send an email to them, tell them how you feel. If the flight is consistently filling up, they will add another flight. SJU is growing in their network, it's all about supply and demand at this point.

on many dates in the fall when the flight operates the fare is $149 each way. Even around Christmas time there are fares in the $200s each way which is hardly gouging.

I believe the point is that there is a large market there for people flying to Puerto Rico to visit friends and family thus possibly influencing demand and pricing.

So you're saying that high demand leads to higher prices?
