Welcome to FT.
Airline prices are probably less predictable in terms of the prices. As long as it's not a holiday, expect the prices to fluctuate. So far, I think the best time to buy them is around 10-14 days before departure. Try to do the booking on a Tue or Wed as prices may be lower. No hard rule, but I was planning a trip on 1/4 and it's been sitting at $222 for a while. It was still that price yesterday. I just checked today and it's down to $150.

Keep in mind that with jetBlue, the timing is not that important. You can always buy the ticket, set up a yapta alert and if the price goes down, simply go on the jetBlue site to "change" your flight to the same one you are on. This will automatically book you at the lower rate and credit the difference to your True Blue account.

Didn't know your can do that without incurring change fees after 24 hours.
