Question About Change Fee
I just called the CSR but I felt like she didn't know the point of my question, so perhaps some FTers would have experience with this.
I'd like to change my flight a day earlier and will incur a $50 change fee (my fare is below $99). From what I understand, my Even More Space fee will get refunded since I am electing to give that up. My question is how JetBlue will charge the difference/ticket to my AmEx card. Will they refund the entire ticket and then recharge the whole fare to my card, or will they merely charge the difference?
I have the Blue Sky card, which allows for statement credit in $100 increments. If the whole fare gets recharged again, that sweetens the deal for me. If only the difference is charged, it's not worth the change. I'm unclear on this issue as the posted transactions on AmEx are very clear on what is purchased, especially plane tickets, which go right down to my flight info.
