DCA Security line
Does anyone know how long the DCA security line is usually for JetBlue? Flying out Friday at 5:30 PM and trying to figure out what time I need to be at JetBlue terminal by? You think 4:15-30 gives me enough time to get through security?

I've flown out of DCA at all times of day and I don't think I've ever taken more than 30min.

I have flown out of Terminal A at DCA many times in there is rarely more than a 15-30 min wait. Also there isn't much food wise beyond security down at A so expect more than a sandwich or pizza.

Thanks! I fly Delta all the time and security is never longer than 10 min at DCA. However US airways DCA can be much longer and wanted to plan ahead for JetBlue.

Security line for B6 @ DCA? Hardly.Ever.
Security line for DL or US on Friday @ DCA...? Thankfully I have priority + TSA preCheck. The lines can be messy as all hell.

DCA has been horiffic lately during rush hour, i.e. early morning and 5-7pm. I'm talking 30 plus minutes with few TSA lines open on the main terminal. MWAA admits they are having problems and working on it.
That said B6 is in the A concourse and even if TSA is fully staffed, there are only three (I believe) X-Rays, so it can move slow if there are a lot of flights.

I'm flying B6 to SJU on Thanksgiving Thursday so will report back but my last DCA-DEN flight on F9 out of the A-terminal was about a 15 min wait. And like other's have said, not much post-security and esp in morning.

I spoke with the TSA ID-checker guy when I was on the security line on Friday sometime around 4:45 PM (line was extremely long). This was for Terminal A on a B6 Flight. He said lately, every day between 4:30 and 7 PM has been a mad crush at security. So if you've got a flight in Terminal A, plan ahead, give yourself a solid 30 min from getting on line at security to clearing security.

Update from early thanksgiving morning .. the A-pier was pretty dead, with my SJU flight, a BOS run and Florida on another carrier. TSA was fully staffed with two ID checkers and three x-ray's. Lots of inexperienced travelers slowing down the line but still through in 15mins.
