Good point. All the seats are actually good. (except the middle)

JetBlue doesn't intentionally oversell flights.

Why not just pay for the extra room? It's cheap as hell.

date checked. seats available (westbound then eastbound)
9/24/12 18, 39
10/1/12 10, 33
10/3/12 7, 24

i hope this sells out....

IF they do need volunteers, what's a good rate to blurp out if they ask for what will it cost them to pay me to stay for a later flight? the total cost of my airfare is $336.60, and using averages, it's approx $168.30ow with taxes.

If I say, pay me $200 for giving up my seat, is that fair/market value? alternatively, will i get the minimum, which is (and i hope) is $400?

This flight will not overbook, period. JetBlue doesn't oversell and if it did happen by accident this isn't a likely route. The website you're using isn't giving you an idea of how many seats are open.

The only instances will be if a sold out flight, where everyone revenue customer shows up and there is a severely broken seat or something along those lines.

It isn't common place.
