PIT-JFK

Flew Jet Blue today PIT-JFK. Over 2 hours late leaving PIT. Twitter response said it was because of "weather." Once on the plane the pilot told us it was due to a mechanical issue. As I usually fly UA I have to say that it was really a pleasant change to have a very friendly FA on board. She was nice to everybody, offered a drink and snack. Was pleasant from beginning to end.

It was also a cleaner plane than I've seen in a long time. And I liked the 2 and 2 seating as well. Aside from the gate agent and the delay this was a nice flight. I do wish they had been honest up front about the delay. Also, I think that it would have been nice of them to give the headsets for free due to the delay.

What was the flight number. Chances are it was due to weather as JFK was on a ground delay or ground stop all day.

Seems like JFK is on a ground delay/stop every other day. You wonder how you can run a profitable airline operation at such a badly managed airport.

I think Mother Nature has a strong hand in the management of the airport.
