So I had to fly a B6 flight from JFK-IAD on 5/27... usually a 35-40min flight. Originally flight is delayed 70mins due to inbound aircraft delay. CS at the airport tells me it is MECH delay. Later another agent says it is due to both mechanical & weather delays in RDU. We didn't end up boarding the plane until 6:50 (>2 hours late) and ready to take off around 7pm. We eventually pushed back and at 7:30pm were told there was a ground stop at IAD so we waited. I realized when I had gotten on the plane that my IFE wasn't working and told the FA who said "you just might have to keep pushing it for 3-4 minutes constantly until it works." I said I'm not a weak guy and I've been pushing it the whole flight and he said "keep trying and if it doesn't work I'll write it up." We eventually came back to the gate at 8pm. At 8:30pm, we pushed back again after ground stop removed and finally took-off from JFK at 9:35pm.

Now B6 did give us a $50 voucher for the delay and rightly so (we were delayed by the weather because of the original 2hour mechanical delay out of RDU). However, the FA never wrote up my IFE complaint and he eventually told me a woman left the plane while we were waiting at the gate so I took it to use the IFE (flight turned out to be 75min).

Would B6 give me the $15 voucher? I didn't get to use it at all for the first 3 I sat on the plane for the ground delay and only for the last 45 mins. Does B6 need proof it wasn't working?

Or just call in and ask. I do IFE vouchers all day long. Sounds like you had a frustrating trip, and I know I wouldn't quibble about giving you the $15 even without it written up. And yes, you should be entitled to both, the $50 BOR doesn't mean you don't get the other.
