I've posted about these issues in the past, and agree, B6 is the carrier for me when I can't fly my preferred carriers.
I recall once upon a time when B6 JFK employees were actually friendly. uniformly friendly. Now, they seem to resemble the taciturn hospitality of New York City subway token booth clerks. Yes, this is a sweeping generalization, and there are always good folks out there--but they seem to be appearing less and less at JFK.
Perhaps this is what happens when the start up carriers grow too big?
And why are the long phone hold times and new res system still an issue?
Just how long will it take to debug this system?
As an AA EXP, I can get through quickly, and have never had to face a 30 min hold time. And I've never had to request missing AA points, as i continually must with B6.
