Enough transfer time in NRT?

SOOO... i got booked on JAL 954 (icn-nrt) arrives 4:15 and then continuing on with delta/NW 3508 (nrt-dtw) departs at departs at 6:50 .. Does anyone know if i will have to clear customs and if there is enough time to make this connection? Also, if i go to delta.com i can pull up both legs... yet im wondering if i will have to check into my dl/nw flight in nrt or if i can just check in at icn and go. Does anyone have experience with a transfer like this?

Thanks!!!

PLENTY of time. You will not have to go through customs. Once you get off the JAL flight just follow the signs to connections and then to the NW transfer counter to get your boarding pass for your flight to dtw. You won't be able to get your boarding pass in ICN.

If you have any baggage you should be able to get it tagged at ICN all the way through to your final destination. Just give JAL your confirmation for the NW flight. Make sure you mention your bags when you get your boarding pass for NW at NRT as well.

I'm looking to connect from CDG on NH and onto ICN on OZ with only 50 mins in transit. Would that be sufficient?

Under normal circumstances, the airlines suggest minimum 45 minutes for an international to international connection between two Star Alliance partners.

if it is a same terminal and if your flight is on-time, no problem

But If you check your bag... 20min delay in your arrival means you will get your bag later... but OZ has flights frequently between NRT and ICN..
