bag Forwarding
Hey, a friend just posted this on another message board, and I'm not too clear on the general restrictions of takkyubin services...
Do any of you veterans have advice of where I can store my bags over New Years?
I'm arriving the 27th of Dec & TUJ is closed. Airport storage is prohibitively expensive and inconvenient. I don't want to take a flat just to store bags in it for 10 days.
Can you tell me a little more about this [takkyubin]? I won't have a place to stay when I arrive on 27 Dec. and will immediately travel. I will book ahead to a temporary housing situation/hotel for when I return to Tokyo (around the 7th of Jan).
Would I have to hold the bags at the airport for 5 days-ish, then have them shipped with this service to my hotel a few days early?
Thank you,
Olivia
