It looks like Zipair has only released seats until the end of March 2023 from LA or San Jose. Anyone know when more would be released? So far, bang for the buck, this seems to be the best deal around. Of course, we have to get there from the east coast, but still…

Have an upcoming flight SJC-NRT on seat 1K. It looks like they have very similar biz seat product as KLM's 787. Wondering what's the best flat seats on Zipair?

Pretty sure they are all the same, but will try and report back in a few days - flying to Seoul.

Soooo Zipair's full flat seats are definitely NOT all the same as I found out the other day. Breakdown here:

Interested in your flying experiences on ZipAir

Thinking about trying LAX-NRT in business for summer 2023 travel. Interested to hear from veterans of this route. How much better/worse is it from JL, NH, UA, etc.?

It’s too new for there to truly be “veterans” however the hard product is very good. 787s obviously are great comfortwise with high humidity and low cabin altitude. You can’t compare the soft product to non-LCCs. But as long as you know what to expect and account for your addon expenses accordingly it is a great way to make the trip. My family flew the reverse last fall in econ and we’re happy with it. Plenty of YouTube vids showing you the food options etc.

Does anyone know if you earn Zipair points when flying with them? And if so, what is the earning rate?

How are the economy seats? You can basically fly not overnight to LAX... so for me, I wouldn't be sleeping anyway.

Flying ZipAir from LAX-NRT tomorrow, does anyone know if they do automatic check-in yet or is it still mandatory to go to the check-in counter? Also does anyone know if exit row seats are hard-sided, or are they the same seats used in the rest of economy?

ZIPAIR website says all passengers have to check-in at the airport ticket counter. I assume there is no online check-in or check-in kiosk at the airport. The very bottom of this ZIPAIR website page has a seating chart of ZIPAIR 787 and shows exit row seats, seats with no recline, and seats with partial recline.

Yeah saw that, was hoping the polite language of "we request all passengers to" left it open for auto checkin still being an option, but I know that was overly hopeful.

As far as seats I'm specifically wondering if they're hard sided under the arm rest like AA has on their exit rows, which are uncomfortable for a 9+ hour flight. I tried to find pics or a video showing exit rows specifically but there's really not much zipair content out there, so hoping for someone to relay their experience.

I assume the sidearm will be the place the table will be stored at the front row seats... Some pictures of ZIPAIR front row seats I found on the net.
